Magic Drop · explicit local-file routing

Have the file, but not the tool name?

Choose, drop or—after installing the supported desktop PWA—open one local file from your operating system. Solarc inspects browser-reported metadata plus at most the first 64 KB, looks for bounded signatures and text structure, then ranks real atomic tools, curated workflows and problem-first scenarios.

Metadata + bounded prefix

Filename, browser MIME hint, common magic bytes and a bounded text prefix can narrow the catalog without reading an entire large file.

Explicit and ephemeral

The browser reads the file only after you choose, drop or explicitly open it with the installed app. No file content is uploaded, persisted, placed in a URL or sent to analytics.

Routes, not fake certainty

Magic Drop recommends starting points. It does not claim that a MIME hint or file signature validates content, compliance, security or recipient acceptance.

Only have pasted text or a filename? Use Magic Tool Finder instead.

Installed app · Open with Solarc Tools

Skip the upload page: open a local file from your desktop.

On supported Chromium desktop browsers, installing Solarc Free Tools can register common PDF, image, structured-data and text files with your operating system. Choosing Open with Solarc Tools launches this same Magic Drop router—no extension permissions and no server upload.

Explicit local file selection

Drop one file. Find the right starting point.

Privacy boundary

No upload, fetch, analytics transport, browser storage or file-content URL. The selected File object stays in this page memory. Destination tools intentionally ask you to choose the file again instead of secretly transferring it between routes.

File-aware routing

Choose a file to rank real atomic tools, curated workflows and problem-first scenarios from the canonical Solarc registries.
