Private Document Processing: A Local-First Architecture Note

Design notes on keeping sensitive document processing inside a controlled environment and separating extraction from human review.
The Document Boundary
Invoices, contracts and client records can contain sensitive information. A safer architecture starts by defining where source files may exist, which processors can see them and what evidence is retained after review.
Local-First Processing
The prototype direction uses local or customer-controlled processing where practical, with explicit scanner, extraction and review boundaries. The goal is to minimise unnecessary data movement rather than claim that every deployment is automatically private or compliant.
